I
absolutely love this fine art photographer, Mark Mabry. Here's another photo/quote that made my sabbath day.
"Certain thoughts are prayers. There are moments when, whatever be the attitude of the body, the soul is on its knees." - Victor Hugo.
As I was looking at some of his photos, I came across this video and watched it with my 21 month old son. As soon as he saw the first slide the first thing he said was, "Jejus, Jejus!" ...and then every slide after that he kept pointing to the computer screen and repeating, "Jejus, Jejus!" What's funny is...I've really only pointed out maybe one or two pictures of the Savior to my son and told him, "Jesus" and thought nothing of it. (I really didn't think he would remember who he was seeing how young he is and that Jesus has never physically been to our house.) But it never fails! No matter where we're at or what picture (or statue) it is....he always recognizes the Savior. And tonight as we watched this video together, my son got me all choked up. OK...I was a little more than choked up, more like crying with the ugly sniffles (there's my over-emotionalness kickin' in). When my son saw me crying he turned to me and gave me an eskimo kiss (rubbing noses) and just melted my heart. Seeing my son recognize the Savior (pretty much on his own) was a testament to me of just how pure and perfect children are. It's no wonder we are counseled to "becometh as a child". They exemplify Him perfectly...after all, it wasn't that long ago that they were with him.
