{ new guy }

Check out the new guy...

...well, he's not that new. My parents were going out of town so they needed someone to take care of Moko -so I decided to just bring him home. And YES, I now know what moko means "booger" in spanish. I was informed of this by our our miko neighbor. I tried explaining to her that I'm not mexican and that his name means "tattoo" in Maori ('cause he has white patches on his chin) but she still seemed to be so offended (as if his name was a form of animal abuse) and told me we could have come up with a better name. Eh...annoying. I just smiled at her...but in my head thought "SICK'HER!" Ha!

He's only suppose to be here "temporarily"...or at least that's what I told me husband. My son absolutely loves him!!! The other night I found him sitting in the dog's crate -with the dog -and they were eating a bag of chips together. And my son always goes and lays on Moko's bed with him while he talks to him and hugs him. It's kind of gross, but cute.  Last night they were playing fetch f.o.r.e.v.e.r. And now I have a running buddy. Saf pretends like he doesn't like him 'cause he's not a "man dog" but I always catch him sneaking some human food to him. My son is going to be so sad when he leaves us...................if he does. haha We'll just have to see how this family dog tryout goes....

{ our family motto }

The other day I was rushing about my day and stressing over things and issues that I thought needed to be addressed all at once. My day felt like blur and I uselessly drained all my energy. Then that night before Saf left for work we knelt down for family prayer (including our son) and I was immediately humbled and felt at peace after being reminded that this, my 'lil famili...

is what matters most!

I love the family that we've created. We both come from close families whom we love unconditionally but once you're on your own and start your own...it's a whole 'nother level of [ love ]! Saf and I come from similar yet still different backgrounds and we're raised completely different...so at times it's only inevitable that we have our differences. And with us both being stubborn knuckleheads -at times our 'differences' have turned into something more like...Clash of the Titans! But somehow at the end of our battles we manage to still be best friends...and civil. Similarities or differences, we both decided our family motto is: [ we take only the good from both our upbringings' and make something even better for our kids ]. That we both agree on. As long as our son and future kids turn out better than we were, we'll know we were successful as parents.
I'll forever be grateful that I married  the right person, in the right place, at the right time so that this could all exist.

[ in love with mines. ]

**ok, sorry for the 'sappy-softness'. had to get that out my system. now I'm ready for another battle with my dukes up! ...haha jp

{ No Name: page 1 }

New book for my random thoughts/creativity/inspirations. I'm such a old-book-junkie -If there is such a thing. Funny thing is I don't even read the dang thing...I just like to color, write, glue, and paint all over the words. So here's page 1 of my No Name book. More to come. Hopefully by then I have a far more clever name for it.

{ Simple Things #5 }

Ending my night with a red box movie with my son and not having to worry about anything the next day but going to Disneyland with him and cooking dinner.
It's the simple things that make me happy.

{ Summer Dreaming }

I know it's still months away, but I cannot wait for my season to get here! Here's a few things on my summer bucket list...
sun, sand, salt water, and bonfires...almost every day. and hopefully camping at the beach for a day or two with my boys -if I can talk my husband into it. haha

going to try paddle boarding.

 Find a beach somewhere in SoCal where I can do this.

 wear a big, floppy beach hat...with a sun dress.

 get passes to Soak City for my son and I.

riding with Grampa.

 tan/beach hair/no makeup...oh, I wouldn't mind having a bikini body too ;) ...guess I better start working on that now. haha

I'm glad my sidekick (aka my son) loves the sun and water just as much as I do because that's all we'll be doing this summer. As far as my husband -we'll just have to carry a canopy and some floaties for him where ever we go! ;)

{ Simple Things #4 }

Catching a sesh at the temple with my husband then coming out to our car (missing our son) and finding his  footprints across the back windshield. Don't know when or how he even got up there...
Seeing that gave us both a smile...and laugh! We have one cute -but crazy 'lil one!

{ Baby Seiseira }

YAAAAY for more babies in the fam! Last weekend we went to Vegas to see the newest addition to the Fonua family be blessed.
She's such a 'lil cutie and made me so baby-hungry for a girl! It was fun to see all our babies together....they could totally all pass as siblings! haha
